Senior Claims Assistant - Fast Track
I have long known that helping animals was my calling, and spent my younger years surrounded by animals doing 4H and pet sitting. Thus after I got my B.A at Western Washington University, I enrolled in the veterinary assistant program at PIMA. After graduating from there I spent several years in different veterinary clinics and hospitals, before coming here to work at Trupanion.
How long have you worked at Trupanion?
What’s your role at the company?
Senior Claims Assistant- Fast Track
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
Yes, I have one cat, Cole. A shy but sweet domestic medium hair tuxedo cat.
Do you bring your pets to work?
Nope, for both our sakes.
Do you have a favorite story you want to share about your pet(s)?
I got Cole while I was in college, right when I first planned to live alone. I signed the lease at the apartment, and was planning to move in in a month. I was so excited knowing I could finally get a cat that I stopped at the local shelter to indulge in dreaming, and there I met Cole. He crawled into my lap and I knew, this was the one. This presented a problem, as I couldn’t take him to where I was living then, and they couldn’t hold him more than 3 days. Thus I had to rush back to the apartment, and beg them to let me move in sooner. Three days later I had to rush from class, to the apartment to get the key from the manager who left a ½ hour after my last class, then to the shelter which closed an hour after my last class, dash back to the apartment, drop off Cole and then finally start moving my own stuff in. Most hectic day ever, but so worth it!
