Glenn Novotny

Founder and Owner of Glennhawk Vineyards and Emerald Pet Products

Glenn Novotny is the Founder and Owner of Glennhawk Vineyards and Emerald Pet Products.  He is also the Managing Director of Glennmont, LLC and GMMR, LLC, which are two real estate development organizations based in Danville, CA.  He serves as Chairman of the Board of Edge Systems, and serves on the Board of Directors of Radio Systems, Trupanion, Inc. (NYSE: TRUP), Reeb Millwork, and Bay Alarm.

Glenn was an Operating Partner at Telegraph Hill Partners, a San Francisco based private equity firm,  investing in medical devices, life sciences, and healthcare companies from 2008-2015.  Glenn worked at Central Garden & Pet (NASDAQ: CENT) for 17 years; as President and COO from 1990 to 2003 and CEO from 2003 through 2007.  Glenn was instrumental in taking Central Garden & Pet public in 1993 and growing it from sales of $200 million to $1.7 billion through organic growth and over 40 acquisitions to create the largest pet supply and second largest garden supply company in the U.S.  He also worked at Weyerhaeuser Corporation from 1970 to 1990 in a variety of operating, strategic planning, sales and executive management roles, including serving as CEO of Weyerhaeuser Garden Supply from 1988 to 1990.

Glenn has served on numerous boards, in both public and private companies, and has significant entrepreneurial experience.  In addition to the boards he currently serves on, he has previously served as a board member of Central Garden & Pet, Pet Food Express, VeriTainer Corp., AngioScore, Ditan Corporation, Confirma, Freedom Innovations, and Nexus BioSystems.  He also has substantial Mergers and Acquisitions experience in several industries and completed over 75 transactions in his career.

Glenn received a BA from Chadron State College in Nebraska and graduated from the Harvard Business School Program for Executive Management Development.
