John Kramer
Independent Consultant
John H. Kramer worked in the reinsurance business for eighteen years, with companies such as General Reinsurance Corp. and E.W. Blanch Co. He focused on specialty lines insurance companies, start-up insurance companies, and MGAs.
In 1998, when John was Executive Vice President and Eastern Regional Manager for E.W. Blanch Co., he was diagnosed with leukemia. Now well, John works as a consultant and serves on the Board of Directors for Trupanion.
John and his wife, Ruie, live in Florida, but John enjoys his visits to Seattle, as he owned and operated a whitewater rafting company here just after his college years. He also likes to spend time with his grown daughter and son, and enjoys golf, portfolio management, and travel.
John double-majored in economics and cultural anthropology at Duke University, graduating cum laude in 1980.
